Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 July 2026

DotPoet (“we”, “the app”) is a poetry writing and community app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

Drafts you write stay on your device (and, if you enable it, sync privately to your own iCloud). They are not visible to us or other users unless you publish them.

How we use it

We use this data only to run the service — authenticate you, show your published work to other members, and operate community features. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Sign-in providers

If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a verification token and basic profile information (such as your email and name) solely to create your account.

Where your data lives

Account and published content are stored on our backend provider, Supabase. Connections use HTTPS.

Visibility

Published poems, your username, display name, avatar, and bio are visible to other members. Drafts remain private to your device unless published.

Your choices

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time in the app under Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and the content associated with it (profile, published poems, comments, and activity).

If you want your data removed but no longer have the app installed, email support@dotpoet.com from your account email and we will delete your account and associated data.

Children

DotPoet is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected here with a new date.
